So what exactly is going to change and what will stay the same?
The part of your energy service that affects you the most (consumption) will stay the same. Your lights will still turn on and you won’t even notice the day that Viridian takes over as your provider. You will get a bill like you do every month, but it will have Viridian’s name on it in addition to your local utility. The utility will continue to provide repair, maintenance and emergency response.

 

Who do I call if I have problems with my service?
If you have any problems, you will contact the utility. They remain responsible for the delivery of your energy, as well as for any necessary maintenance and repairs.

 

How will I be billed?
The same way you always have been. You will continue to receive one bill each month with charges for your usage, and the same service and delivery charges.


Can I change back?
Yes. If you are not satisfied with Viridian for any reason, you can change your service back to the utility or another provider of your choice. With no termination fee. Please notify us first if you wish to cancel your Viridian service by e-mailing customercare@viridian.com or calling Customer Service at 1-866-663-2508.


How does Viridian reduce my monthly bills?
Deregulation allows electricity suppliers like Viridian to buy energy wholesale from competitive providers and pass the savings along to customers. Viridian also provides only one specialized service, eliminating the operational costs that often burden utilities.

 

Does it cost anything to enroll?
For NJ residential accounts enrollment is absolutely free.
