Boonton Main Street utilizes the Main Street New Jersey four-point approach to downtown revitalization. Each of its four committees address one of those four points:

Design
Chair:
The Design Committee is charged with all aspects of how downtown looks and feels. The planning Team meets on the Fourth Thursday of each Month at 6:30 PM
Pprojects include:
• Green Streets in Dowtown Boonton-
Planters and Landscaping
• Clean Streets in Downtown Boonton
Spring Clean Up
Litter Free Campaign
• Facade Squad
Assistance is color selections
Exterior Paint and Fix up Projects
• Window Display Consultation
• Ongoing streetscape improvements including street lighting; signs; banners; murals; holiday lighting
• Selects and Awards Excellence in Building Renovation

Partner with Historic Preservation Commission on the creation and distribution of Design Guidelines

Organization
Chair: Patrick Cox
The Organization Committee is responsible for fundraising, volunteer recruitment, communications, and administration of the organization.
The planning Team meets the First Tuesday of each Month at 6:30 PM
Ongoing tasks include:
• Conduct annual membership drive
• Expand mailing list
• Plan and implement fundraising events
• Manage communications (Redesign the web site, develop an e-newsletter, press releases)
• Provide orientation and recognition program for volunteers and partner organizations
Promotions
Chair:
The Promotions Committee is responsible for all special events and promotions in the downtown area.
The planning Team meets the Second Thursday of each Month at 7:30 PM
Projects include::
• Planning special events: Music Festival, Farmers Market, Classic Car Show, Victorian Holiday Celebration
• Managing all advertising
• Supporting the Retail special promotions on Third Thursdays
• Awards Business Holiday Window Displays
Economic Revitalization
Chair: Ann Cox
The Economic Revitalization Committee is responsible for business retention and recruitment. The planning Team meets the Third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM
Projects include:
• Create and maintain a database inventory of businesses and properties with the Main Street District
• Online Marketing support - in the form of business directory and map
• Provides training opportunties for business owners and property owners
• Business recruitment package and business surveys to manage the business mix and assist property owners in finding quality tenants
Boonton's historic downtown design district offers a mix of retail, antique stores, restaurants, and service businesses, reflecting the town's diversity, strong sense of community, and unique geographic setting.
