Boonton Main Street utilizes the Main Street New Jersey four-point approach to downtown revitalization. Each of its four committees address one of those four points:

Organization
Promotions
Economic Restructuring
Design Interim Chair: Matthew DiLauri
 The Design Committee is charged with all aspects of how downtown looks and feels.
Past and current projects include: -
Created the Parking Signs currently used downtown -
Created and updates a parking brochure -
Address parking issues – Implement a Pedestrian Safety Campaign for 2008 -
Encourage enforcement of sign and building codes -
Identify best prospects for façade renovations and coordinate consulting services provided by Main Street NJ -
Begin to address back-of-building design issues and Gateway Signage -
Partner with Historic Preservation Commission on the creation and distribution of Design Guidelines -
Continuing the Boonton is Blooming Spring Clean Up campaign
Organization Chair: Teresa Davenport
 The Organization Committee is responsible for fundraising, volunteer recruitment, communications, and administration of the organization
Ongoing tasks include: -
Conduct annual membership drive -
Expand mailing list -
Plan and Implement a fundraising event for 2008 -
Manage communications (Redesign the web site, develop an e-newsletter, press releases) -
Provide orientation and recognition program for volunteers and partner organizations
Promotions Chair: Patti Bujtas
 The Promotions Committee is responsible for all special events and promotions in the downtown area.
Ongoing tasks include:
Economic Restructuring Chair: James Helfer
 The Economic Restructuring Committee is responsible for business retention and recruitment.
Ongoing Tasks include: -
Develop incentives program for rehabilitation -
Conduct research of market, retail space, shopper trends. Gather merchant input to determine training needs, likelihood of closing business, etc. -
Create and maintain a database inventory of businesses and properties with the Main Street District -
Create a business directory and map -
Develop program of business recruitment to manage the business mix and assist property owners in finding quality tenants
